As a child, I carried the heavy weight of financial pain and emotional trauma. I lived through a devastating accident while witnessing my loved ones trapped in a cycle of financial stress, drama, and hardship. I saw them struggle, and felt the suffocating scarcity in the air — the feeling that there was never enough. I carried that same belief, and began to resent money.

Money became a symbol of everything I couldn’t have — the treatments I needed, the healing I desired, the freedom I craved. I ignored my own finances, despite working early in the banking sector and excelling at managing others’ money. I was trapped in trauma responses, too afraid to face my own financial reality. And for years, I lived paycheck to paycheck.
